We know everyone is busy and vacation days are limited, so it means the world to us that you're coming out to the Rockies to celebrate with us! As a small token of our appreciation, we'll be arranging accommodation for all of our guests at Emerald Lake Lodge for the weekend.

Cabin details
Each cabin consists of four private, hotel-style rooms. Each room has a private bathroom, wood-burning fireplace, and other standard hotel amenities (toiletries, coffee maker, etc.) EXCEPT wifi (and there is no cell service). Wifi is only available in the main lodge.
If you have any questions about accommodation, please reach out to Martha and/or Michael directly.

Feel free to arrive at Emerald Lake Lodge anytime after 12:30pm. We'll have light bites and snacks available for lunch. Although official check-in is 4pm, you'll be able to store your luggage as soon as you arrive and we'll aim to have as many rooms as possible available early. Please let Martha and/or Michael know if you would benefit from an earlier check in time and we will do our best to accommodate you!

Take the afternoon to settle in and explore the beautiful surroundings! There is something for everyone at Emerald Lake Lodge - please bring appropriate attire:

Join us for a plated dinner in the main lodge. Drop by to mingle starting at 5pm. Dinner will be served starting at 6pm.

Start the wedding day with a delicious breakfast served at the lodge restaurant anytime from 9-11am. Fuel up for the celebration ahead!

The ceremony will begin promptly at 2pm in the main lodge. Please arrive by 1:45pm to find your seats.

Join us at Cilantro for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Enjoy signature drinks and celebrate with fellow guests.

Return to the main lodge for the rest of the party! The celebration will continue with dinner, toasts, cake, and dancing the night away.

Join us in the main lodge starting at 9am (or whenever you're able to make it out of bed) for a hearty buffet breakfast.

Please check out of your cabin by 11am. Everyone is invited to come ski, snowboard, and après with Martha and Michael for the week at SkiBig3. We’ll be staying in a large Airbnb in Canmore from Feb 16-20 and have extra beds available - message us directly if you’re interested in joining!

Getting to Emerald Lake Lodge:
We recommend flying into Calgary International Airport (YYC). From YYC, it is a ~2.5h drive (can be longer depending on weather) west on the Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1), which is always plowed. Only the last few km of the drive are on a paved but winding mountain road, which can get snowy.
Driving:
Once you arrive at Emerald Lake Lodge, please park in the overnight guest parking lot and take the lodge shuttle to the island (~5 mins). If you are driving and are able to offer a ride to others, please let us know in the RSVP form.
Shuttles:
We will be organizing shuttles at approximately the following times:
On Saturday, the airport shuttle will drop you off in the overnight guest parking lot. From there, you will transfer to the lodge shuttle to get to the island (~5 mins). Vice versa on Monday.

Saturday Welcome Dinner: Theme pending... stay tuned for details
Wedding: Black tie optional. For men, tuxedos optional. For women, long dresses preferred, in all colours except white and cabernet. Darker, wintery colours encouraged.
Things to note: All events will be indoors but please be prepared to walk outside between your cabin and the various locations on the island. We'll have coat checks and places to swap from outdoor to indoor footwear.
Optional: Swimsuit for hot tub, outdoor sports clothing for winter activities
Children are welcome at both the ceremony and reception. We will have a children's room set up upstairs that will be staffed during all events with a babysitter and/or other parents. We politely ask that if your child starts crying during intimate moments of the wedding, you step out with them.
Please know that the venue is in a national park and has no cell service. There is wifi at the property but only in the main lodge, not in the cabins.
We'll have a professional photographer, but feel free to take photos! Please keep phones away during the ceremony.
Your presence at our wedding means mountains to us. However, for those who will insist on getting us a gift, we'll be sharing registry information shortly.
